I had my mom watch this tutorial to do my hair before prom on Friday (my mom is by no means good at doing hair), and my hair turned out PERFECT, just like in the video. This tutorial is super easy and the hairstyle held all night, and took only an hour and a half to do, including curling my hair. Thank you so much!

dont worry you'll get used to it! (i couldnt do mine until the 7th grade, and then i still messed up a lot) just practice and you'll get it, but brush ur hair first and if u mess up, take it out ( my sister used rubber bands first time she tried putting her hair up, she used about 20, and they got stuck bad enough we had to cut them out....she still doesnt brush her hair very often -__-)

This is so adorable! I have one problem tho. I have a very hard time with head bands staying on my head even the most grippy bands slid right off. Is there a trick for them to stay on? I see lots of people wearing them and they stay on.

Thank you! I had a bit on an epic fail curling my hair with foam rollers and didn't have too much time to fight with it. I browsed through your channel and found this hairstyle, took less than five minutes to fix and looks great! Perhaps a little much for a lunch out, but still fantastic and worlds better than the poodle I had sitting on my head when I first took my curlers out!

It is not really about the material you use to cover the band; I have this problem with pretty much any headband. I got another one (just a simple one like you use under the material). Instead of holding the hair it glides off.I was wondering if there is a secret in how to keep it on place without hairpins...Anyway, I really like your videos.

You could try to use a large rubber band (not meant for hair), and then cover it with ribbon. I bet that would stay better.

LOVE IT!. I found this tutorial the night before an important formal event, and - even without watching your previous videos - I was able to pull it off beautifully. Thank you so much; I never thought I could have pulled of such an amazing style.BTW I used bobby pins for a tight grip as I was going to be dancing at the event. Unlike your video, I used a rigid, double strand headband that did not go around the back of my head, and this did not diminish the quality of the hairstyle at all.

my hair is past my waist and i am a middle aged woman with a great deal of gray. i want to try this because i think the contrast of my gray hair and dark hair underneath will make it lovely, but i worry that it will be too long. any suggestions? also, my hair tangles into mats so easy i worry that i will have a horrible time taking it down. i love the look. reminds me of greecian statues
